The Atlantic Training Center welcomes juniors and adults to our new training facility.
Our club continues to grow with many students from the entire HRM area.
Judo is our passion and we want to share it with everyone we can. Instructors are National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) qualified and follow programs developed for Long Term Athlete Development. Our Instructors have National and International coaching experience.
Judo can be many things to different people. It is a fun sport, an art, a discipline, a recreational or social activity, a fitness program, a means of self-defence or combat and for many, a way of life.
Kodokan Judo comes to us from the fighting systems of feudal Japan. Founded in 1882 by Dr. Jigoro Kano, judo is a refinement of the ancient marital art of Ju Jitsu.
Judo was introduced into the Olympic Games in 1964 and is practiced by millions of people throughout the world today.
People practice Judo to excel in competition, to stay in shape, to develop self-confidence and for many other reasons. But most of all, people do Judo just for the fun of it!
